I'm sure most of us actually caught the Table-Tennis final match last night between Singapore & China. Obviously i caught it as well, what an exciting and heart-thumping match it was. We fought hard, however China was too strong an opponent to beat as we lost in straight sets, 3-0. Quoting from the Straits Time " Siver, But They Are Our Golden Girls ". Indeed they are, seeing the national flag being raised for the first time in 48 years at the medal ceremony, serves much of a national pride being a singaporean. I'm sure with this first silver medal in 48 years, it will serve as an encouragement and inspiration to our local atheletes to excel in the world arena and do us proud!

Well Done, Team Singapore!

And speaking of doing us proud, the man who is labelled as one of the greatest olympian of all time has yet created another record, yes that's right i'm talking about Phelps. He took part in 8 events in this summer games, and clinched all 8 gold medals, which no athelete had ever done that, he has re-written Mark Spitz's world record of 7 gold medals in one games, he has broken 7 new world records in 8 of the events he took part in, he just brought a whole new paradigm to the word Excel, and he just did that, in fact in my opinion he Aced it, so job well done, Phelps! It's has really been a great time watching him swim and breaking those records.

Michael Phelps, or rather Phelps the Great!

Okay, the telecast of the National Day Rally delivered by our Prime Minister has just ended not long ago, for the first time, i watched the full telecast of it, usually i would find it boring and channel-surf, however this time round i actually watched and found it quite interesting afterall. Issues being raised in this year's rally were close to the heart, such as rising high cost of living, social issues such as family planning, PM Lee also touched on effects of the sub-prime crisis in the United States. Among all the changes and policies implemented, i particularly liked the one about the Car Ownership, previously car ownership taxes were very high, to control the traffic in singapore, now they reduce the car owenership tax but increase the car usage tax like more ERPs, there's a big buzz recently about the increase of ERP gantries around, however if you actually consider which being a more feasible and economical way, i guess the Car usage tax is more feasible, at least you pay for what you used, it's much more fair this way i guess.

Anyway, it has been a weekend and monday filled with sports and national affairs, holidays seemed to passed exceptionally fast, one week of holiday is almost gone, and it seemed that i haven't done anything, there are so many people i havent met up with, so many things i want to do, my math havent been really revising as much, gosh! I need more time!
