Okay, day 4 of malaysia trip. Wasn't really feeling too well in the morning, had about of flu and cough over the night, guessed it must be due to the hot weather as well as the lack of water that i drank, stayed in the hotel to rest in the morning, while the rest went out for shopping.

Was pretty hungry around 9am, so got changed and left the hotel, heard from mum that "Newton Hawker Centre" sells nice food, so i asked around and walked to Newton hawker, after clocking about 3km, i realised that newton is not open in the morning! Argh! and i also later realised from Auntie Jessie that i went to the Old Newton Hawker, and i was supposed to go the new one, so settled for some roadside wonton mee, and it was great as well, i can't imagine how roadside stalls food taste so good, but it was really nice. And the best part is it cost only $3 ringgit, cheap luh!

After that, returned to the hotel, took my medicine and rested till noon, went to find mum and auntie at the nearby megamall, went for lunch at this hongkong cafe, and the chicken chop baked rice was alright, it wasn't really that nice, but it was filling and given the price, it was pretty reasonable i thought. So after lunch, we splited and i went shopping on my own, bought quite a couple of t-shirts, souvenirs, dodo-kuehs which tasted really nice, haha! And i was pretty pissed off with the customer service assistant working at the Factory Outlet Store, her service attitude was really atrocious! Lucikily, i didn't buy anything from there!

In the evening, went for river cruise around the malacca river before heading to dinner and we had local fare at the Newton Hawker Centre, ordered quite alot again, Bak Kut Teh, Sizziling Noodles, Mee Siam, Popiah and Chendol. It seems that every meal i eat in malacca, i have chendol to come with it, and their chendol is really nice, i mean for the locals they think it's only alright, but for us foreigners, i think it's much better than the deal you get back here in singapore.

After dinner, went to the portugese settlement, and once again we had supper and alcohol. Ordered garlic butter prawns, something with brinjal and sotong squitters, and it was nice, i mean i didn't knew what portugese food tasted like, but after having it for the first time, i thought it was really nice, and to compliment the food with a mug of cold beer, it was just perfect!
