Loved Ones

Gave mum a mother's day treat to dim-sum breakfast yesterday morning from Nam Kee at Thomson. And happy mother's day mum! Coincidentally, today is my dad's 2nd year death anniversary.

Time flies and it's already been two years since he left. Each time i look at the family portrait taken, i'm always reminded of all the fond memories i had with him, and i know i've said these many times, but he's really a wonderful and great dad. Whenever i'm outside, and i see the bonding between a father and his child, i would often get flashbacks of  the time my dad and i used to had. Be it swimming during children's day, cycling beside him while he was jogging or even just lying on his lap while he's reading the papers and etc. At times, i would tell myself if dad was still around, i would finally be able to drink with him, i would share with him about my school happenings like i used to and he would tell me about the current affairs happening.

Lastly, i think one should really start to treasure the people around them, and show them in action. I think many of us just say how much we love and treasure so and so, but we're just now showing it. It's time for us to perhaps, take a little time and think of the things our parents or loved ones had done for us, and it's time for us to reciprocate them.
