2.) Don't solely believe whatever people say, trust your own instincts, i used to take things as it is or spoken for, and i guess i was pretty naive/ dumb in a sense to just believe whatever people were saying, and perhaps were taken for a ride. I think it's one of the best lessons that i learnt, and one quote i love about this topic would be "talk is cheap, indeed it is."
3.) Family & friends form a very important circle in life, as much as i would like to be independent, i do not mean not having a social life, in fact i feel that family & friends are one of the best things one could ever have in life, they give us warmth and love that we all lorn for. They give us the kind of support and encouragement we need when we are at our darkest moments. As i get exposed to different environments, i learn to treasure people around me more, although i know i could still improve on this area.
4.) Everybody changes, everything changes, we sometimes might lament the fact that things around us are changing, and we often do not like to step out of our comfort zone, but the fact is and will be that everything will keep on changing, and that's how we improve, so change might be good/bad, it depends. But it's a kind of thing that we can't stop, we can only adapt. So, it's important to learn to adapt to different situations/environments.
5.) Just be happy, think positive, I think the world is complex enough with all that is going on and all the kind of situations that is happening around us. If we could just be less bothered with peoples' perceptions, and just focus on what we are doing, i think we would all be a much happier lot, although after saying i this, i know it takes a long time to be able to accomplish this feat.
